This is an amazing 30s video of a pigeon riding the subway. Now you might think, well how is that cool -- if you take a look at the video it’’s pretty clear that the pigeon knows where it needs to get off. The speaker announces the next station, it starts walking around, the doors open and the pigeon quietly walks out. It’’s quite impressive that the pigeon have learned to do this, or was this just a coincidence?

This video reminded me a lot of Moscow’’s stray dogs who has adapted to the way humans live and get around. Scientists have studied groups of these dogs and they seem to have a hierarchy which is really close to that of a wolf pack. The stray dogs found out that people were more likely to give them food at subway stations. It’’s really interesting how these animals adapt to the way we live.
